We went back to Stanton to watch the mighty Buffaloes take on the Wolves of Colorado City and watch Dillon make his first home game start as a member of the Varsity squad.
Unfortunately the Buffalo Stampede didn't have it in them to pull out a victory, but the battle was fought hard nonetheless.
The good news is that my grandfather didn't break any additional limbs this trip around. We worked to set up the new car lot, internet access and set up his new desk and office equipment. And, as always, my grandmother fed us very well being the marvelous host that she is!
Saturday night found us at the ranch enjoying what took all day to slow cook: brisket and beans.
Sunday turned into an interesting day because Kaden asked for Ashley and I to help him generate a speech and poster board as part of his campaign to run for office of Patrol Leader in his Boy Scout troop. (UPDATE: I was alerted today that, indeed, Kaden had won his election. Only one other kid in his troop ran (note: there are only three kids in his entire troop) and Kaden's superior poster board tipped the scales in his direction.)
Home is always a good place to be. We enjoyed it quite a bit.
In the end, we had a great time.
