Gift Registry & Bridal Show

A quick update on the wedding progress made this weekend... Ashley and I decided to go to Bed, Bath and Beyond to complete our registry. We did the good thing by setting it up online to expedite the process once we got there. Which was good, until they actually hand the gun and let you loose in the store. We both had a moment where we looked at each other and realized just how utterly unprepared we were for the task at hand. We fought through it, though, and spent about an hour and a half shooting everything from pots & pans to candles. Tiring, but I think we both enjoyed it. We left there and went to Dillard's to complete our registry there. Not so lucky. It wasn't quite the perfected process that it is as Bed, Bath and Beyond, nor did the gun work that they gave us to shoot the items and we were both pretty tired and frustrated by not finding anything that really loved. We did better when we got home and added a few items to the Dillard's registry online. (highly recommended) ========== So today (Sunday), Ashley and I went to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Bridal Show, and let me tell you about how invigorating it was! So invigorating, in fact, that when we got home we had to take an hour-long nap. I was the good groom, though, and carried the bag that Ashley put all the information packets in. I scored many points! I'm a good groom. We did get signed up with Men's Wearhouse for the tuxedos. My brothers (Dillon age 14 - best man, and Kaden age 9 - ring bearer) are both a little afraid of actually having to wear a tux. I'm sure they will come around to it once they see all the pretty girls at the wedding. Good news, though, is that one of the caterers we have to work with at Delaney Vineyards does flowers, the dinner, the cake, the chocolate fountain and wait staff. So using one vendor for all of that is making things much easier instead of working with three to six different companies.
