Update

Just a quick update on a few goings on...

Trip to the ranch

The weekend of April 4 we went to our friends ranch - John and Antionette Billingsley - in San Saba, TX. It was just time to get away and do something different. We had camp fires, rode four wheelers, cooked out...it was a great time.

Furniture Shopping

Then we went shopping for new furniture. I had picked out my new "man chair", but Ashley said no. She said I looked like an Oompa Loompa in a giant overstuffed chair (which was a pretty accurate observation). Ultimately, we couldn't decide and, thus, didn't get any furniture, but we're still looking.

A Reward

Then, as a reward to ourselves for paying off all of our credit card debt (Yah!!), we acquired this little item for the living room.

Ashley is Amazing (if you didn't already know)

Ashley completed a long semester of classes and still has a 4.0. She received several comments from her professors about how good she is doing, which is good because once she has completed her masters degree we are hoping that she will be offered a clinical faculty position. Most of the people that will evaluate her are the very people she is taking classes from right now, so it works in her favor. I've told her that our children must take after her intelligence and study habits! We would have a rough time if they took after mine (Yikes!). Her and Samye are plum tuckered out!

Coming Up...

• We are going "The Farm" to hang out with Papa this weekend (5/8)
• We are going to Montgomery, TX again to hang out with our small group for Memorial Day weekend.
• My grandparents are in town the week of 5/25 for the Colonial Golf Tourney
• Ashley is going to St. Louis June 11-12
• My parents are staying with us the weekend of June 6-7 on their way to Louisiana for the week.
• Samye's cousin Bindi is staying with us the entire week of June 8.
• My parents are staying with us the weekend of June 13-14 on their way back from Louisiana.
