The gifts have also been pouring in. Here you can see our reaction to a give my (Shawn) grandparents brought gave us.
As you can see, it is a framed something. We will have to take a picture of the front and post it back here (would be nice if you could see the front of it, huh?).
Ashley awoke at 6:10 this morning with a bit of anxious energy to work off. True to form, she had 90% of the house spotless before 7:00 am! We took our 'reception committee chairwoman' to our reception site to walk through everything that she in charge of - good luck Emily! I picked up my tux and was lectured on how I wore my pants the wrong way, and was reprimanded accordingly by the tuxedo attendant helping me. Then we just cooked all day while the family members arrived. Peggy and I worked together on cooking brisket for the crew and had my grand parents, Peggy and Eddie, Anna and Jim, Eddie's friend Don and George and Martha (friends from Indiana) at dinner.
In all, it has been fun seeing everyone arrive safely. Over half the people I saw today were people (Ashley's extended family) that I had never met before.
We will see what tomorrow holds...the rehearsal is here!
