Engagement party

In total, we had almost 30 wonderful people show up on Saturday night (2/10) for our engagement party. "Thank You!" to all of those that came. The week started with Ashley's mother arriving for Minister's Week at TCU, followed by her Dad getting here Friday night (2/9). They all went down to Ashley's grandparents farm in Grapeland that night (along with Chelsea) to spend some time there. Ashley and I stayed back and cleaned the entire house all morning and began preparing the food around 2:00. Some of her extended family (Sheryl, Ed and Drew) showed up and my family began arriving between 2 and 3. We quickly had everyone get to Ashley's house where we all played a part in preparing the food that we would have at the party. Meatballs, "Franks in a blanket", sausage, chicken-k-bobs, vegetable tray, fruit tray, and the life of the party - the chocolate fountain! As far as wedding details go, we made decisions on the caterer and the meal that we would serve, the bride's cake, the groom's cake, linens, dishes, and Ashley even ordered her dress. All of which couldn't be done without Peggy being here. So, the moral is, last week was all about our engagement and some significant wedding details. Check out our pictures!
